VP of Product and Engineering

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our company as the Vice President of Product and Engineering. In this executive role, you will be responsible for driving the overall product strategy, development, and engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technology, a proven track record of successful product launches, and the ability to lead a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy and Vision:
  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and market trends.
  • Lead the creation and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring innovation and differentiation in the market.
• Engineering Leadership:
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the development of scalable and reliable software solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
  • Work closely with the executive team to integrate product and engineering strategies with overall business objectives.
• Team Development:
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing product and engineering team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
• Execution and Delivery:
  • Drive the successful execution of product development plans, meeting quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Implement agile methodologies and other best practices to optimize development processes.
• Market Analysis:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
• Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the product and engineering budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a leadership role within product management and engineering, with a track record of successful product launches.
• Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
