As a System Engineer at Smart Data Solutions (SDS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of customer accounts, analyzing and resolving technical issues, and contributing to the development and maintenance of new and existing clients. You will be part of a dynamic team that utilizes data and intelligent automation to digitally transform healthcare process automation and interoperability. SDS is a technology leader in this domain, and as a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering outcomes that reduce costs, streamline workflows, and improve overall customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analysis & Resolution:
  • Manage customer accounts and ensure processes are functioning as expected.
  • Understand and follow SDS’s workflow and associated technical systems.
  • Analyze customer business processes, identify potential problems, and recommend programmable solutions.
  • Apply analytical and business knowledge to solve customer-specified problems while adhering to SDS coding standards and policies.
  1. Communication:
  • Communicate with customers via emails to provide updates on SDS workflows.
  • Inform clients of any critical production issues that may affect their production process.
  • Report critical production issues related to the client to the team lead, manager, or COO.
  • Maintain courteous and professional written communication standards.
  • Ensure consistently high ratings on customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Provide timely responses to all assigned tickets in accordance with SDS policies.
  • Identify and escalate high-priority tickets to appropriately support clients.
  1. Project Development:
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing clients.
  • Document updates, testing, and technical production monitoring plans.
  • Prepare internal and client-facing descriptions and diagrams of workflow processes.
  1. Work Patterns:
  • Resolve assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Collaborate with other developers in the team for specific modules.
  • Track and bill all applicable support hours.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with Java, Unix-like operating systems, and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Math aptitude, organizational skills, and professionalism.
  • Reading comprehension and time management skills.

Requirements:

  • A 2 or 4-year technical degree (or equivalent).
  • 0-1 year of similar experience.
  • Experience with the technologies listed in the previous section.
