Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and design structures, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with architects and other professionals to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Conduct structural assessments and inspections of existing buildings and infrastructure.
  • Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for structural modeling and analysis.
  • Perform calculations to determine load capacities, stresses, and material specifications.
  • Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and advancements in structural engineering.
  • Review and approve construction plans and documents to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to construction teams during the building process.
  • Investigate and resolve structural issues or failures that may arise during construction or after completion.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proven experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
