Sr. Software Engineer- ETL

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient ETL solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL jobs using tools such as Informatica, Talend, or custom scripts as needed.
• Optimize and tune ETL processes for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures and data quality issues in a timely manner.
• Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
• Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in ETL and data integration.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the development team.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Document ETL processes, data mappings, and system architecture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on ETL development.
• Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with data integration patterns and best practices.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Relevant certifications in ETL technologies are a plus.
