Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Automate provisioning and deployment processes for infrastructure components.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software delivery.
• Integrate and optimize deployment workflows with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Implement cost-effective solutions and monitor resource utilization.
• Implement containerization using Docker and orchestrate containers with Kubernetes.
• Optimize containerized applications for scalability and resource efficiency.
• Set up monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for infrastructure and application performance.
• Implement logging solutions (e.g., ELK stack) for tracking and analyzing system logs.
• Implement security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance collaboration and streamline processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Automate routine operational tasks for system maintenance, updates, and patching.
• Scripting for automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure system resilience and data integrity.
• Implement backup and recovery solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure configurations and processes.
• Develop runbooks for operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on automation and infrastructure management.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and logging solutions like ELK stack.
• Knowledge of security best practices and implementation in a DevOps environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams.
