Responsibilities:
● Guide and facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint
Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Ensure that these events are productive, time-boxed,
and involve the appropriate team members.
● Foster a self-organizing, cross-functional team environment. Encourage collaboration,
effective communication, and continuous improvement within the team. Help the team to
identify and remove any impediments or roadblocks that may hinder their progress.
● Ensure the team understands and follows the Scrum framework, including the roles,
artifacts, and ceremonies. Educate and coach the team on Agile values, principles, and
practices. Promote the adoption of Agile mindset throughout the organization.
● Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage and refine the Product Backlog. Facilitate
backlog refinement sessions to ensure that the backlog items are well-defined,
estimated, and prioritized. Help the team to understand and effectively use user stories,
acceptance criteria, and other Agile techniques.
● Track and report key Agile metrics, such as velocity, burn-down/up charts, and team
performance. Provide visibility into the team’s progress, productivity, and potential risks
to stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties.
● Drive continuous improvement within the team by fostering a culture of learning and
adaptation. Identify areas of improvement and facilitate retrospectives to generate
actionable insights. Encourage experimentation, innovation, and the implementation of
Agile best practices.
● Facilitate collaboration and effective communication between the development team and
stakeholders, such as Product Owners, managers, and external teams. Help resolve
conflicts, negotiate scope changes, and manage expectations.
● Act as an Agile coach, providing guidance and mentoring to the team and other
stakeholders. Share knowledge and best practices, and encourage the adoption of Agile
principles across the organization.
Requirements:
● Strong understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
● Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role.
● Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
● Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
● Familiarity with Agile tools and software development practices.
● Certification in Scrum (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster®) is a plus.
● Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry trends and
practices.
