Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to lead our Safety team. The Safety Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies. This individual will also develop and implement strategies and programs to reduce risks and promote employee safety in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company goals
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to identify root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
• Track and report safety metrics to management to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and implement safety training programs to ensure employees are properly trained on safety procedures
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure safety considerations are integrated into all company processes and projects
• Manage the safety team and ensure all team members are trained and performing effectively
• Stay up-to-date on safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure the company maintains compliance and implements best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field – 5+ years of experience in safety management in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA environmental regulations, and other applicable state and federal regulations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
•  Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a team and drive results
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety risks
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
