Platform Engineer Trainee

As a Platform Engineer Trainee, you will embark on an exciting journey to learn and contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of our organization’s platform infrastructure. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in building and supporting the platform that underpins our technology stack.

Job Responsibilities:

Python:

• Develop administrative Python scripts and tooling to enhance operational efficiency.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Python to streamline processes.
• Enhance and optimize existing Python-based cloud utilities for improved functionality.

React:

• Construct internal dashboards and visualization tools using React for effective data presentation.
• Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements and create mockups for React applications.
• Import and integrate cloud monitoring APIs into React applications to provide real-time insights.

Cloud Infrastructure:

• Undergo training on AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, and Serverless architectures.
• Shadow experienced platform engineers during infrastructure builds to gain hands-on experience.
• Execute DevOps tasks under supervision, contributing to the deployment and management of cloud-based solutions.

Documentation:

• Create and update comprehensive documentation for IT procedures, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Contribute to the development of user guides and FAQs to assist end-users in understanding platform features.
• Document issue resolutions and maintain a knowledge base for future reference.

Qualifications:

1. Basic understanding of Python programming and scripting.
2. Familiarity with React and web development concepts.
3. Eagerness to learn and apply cloud infrastructure technologies, particularly AWS.
4. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
5. Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
