Computer Hardware Technician

As a Computer Hardware Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and building computer hardware that comprises the physical components of a computer system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software faults in computer systems.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as hard drives, processors, motherboards, and RAM.
• Install and maintain computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, and monitors.
• Investigate computer hardware and software problems and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Ensure the proper functioning of servers, networks, and other computer systems.
• Install and configure operating systems and software applications on computers.
• Set up and configure computer hardware and software for new employees.
• Perform routine maintenance on computer systems and ensure that they operate smoothly.
• Maintain an inventory of computer hardware and software components.
• Create and maintain documentation related to computer hardware and software systems.

Requirements:

• Diploma, Certification or Bachelor’s in Computer Hardware or a related field.
  2+ years of relevant experience in repairing and maintaining computer hardware and software systems.
  Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and their functions.
  Familiarity with different operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
  Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software faults.
  Excellent problem-solving skills.
  Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
  Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
