The Account and Finance Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization. This position is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and finance, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Financial Transactions: Process financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for operational needs.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the company’s budget, providing insights into budget variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses on a regular basis for management and external stakeholders.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Auditing: Collaborate with auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems.
